Find a Planning Application
Who deals with planning applications round here?
Applications for planning permission are dealt with by Local Planning Authorities. There are two of these for the parish of Angmering:
Arun District Council, which deals with Angmering village itself and other parts of the Parish south of the A27; and
South Downs National Park Authority, which deals with the area of the Parish north of the A27.
Please follow the links below to access the Planning Search pages for each Local Planning Authority. Any member of the public can comment on any planning application received by either Authority, although please note that all comments made are in the public domain and will be published online. Applications can be searched for by reference number, address, locality or Parish.
What involvement does the Parish Council have?
Angmering Parish Council is a statutory consultee under the Town & Country Planning Acts, which means that its views are required to be taken into account by the relevant Local Planning Authority when dealing with applications for planning permission.
Planning applications in the Parish area are considered by the Housing, Transport and Planning Committee, which meets every three weeks, usually in the King Suite, Angmering Village Hall. Agendas and minutes for the Committee’s meetings can be found on the Council and Committee Meetings page. Historic minutes from the Committee’s predecessors are in the process of being uploaded and can also be accessed via that page.
Members of the public are welcome either to attend the Committee’s meetings, or to write to the Parish Council with any comments; please note, however, that any objections to planning applications must also be made directly to the relevant Local Planning Authority.
I am concerned about a breach of planning permission. Who should I speak to?
Any concerns about breach of planning permission should be reported directly to Arun District Council, which deals with all enforcement matters in the Parish, including those areas which are within the National Park. Contact details for the Planning Compliance team are here: www.arun.gov.uk/planning-compliance.
